Eugene J. McDonald has over 30 years experience in maritime law. He is a seasoned litigator and has tried a broad spectrum of cases ranging from the defense of personal injury claims to recovery of collision damages. Mr. McDonald has lectured at conferences and seminars on the subject of maritime law and has authored various articles for maritime trade and legal publications. He received a B.A. Degree from St. John’s University, New York, a J.D. Degree from University of New Hampshire School of Law, Concord, New Hampshire, and holds a Proctor in Admirality designation from the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He has served as an arbitrator for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey having been certified and appointed by former Chief District Judge John W. Bissell. Mr. McDonald is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Foundation Speakers Bureau, the Florida Bar, the Monmouth County Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers, the Marine Insurance Claims Association, and is the holder of a U.S. Coast Guard Captain (OUPV) Near-Coastal License.
